booker T. Washington He was born as a break ones back but after the emancipation proclamation, he moved with his family to Malden, western hemisphere Virginia. He graduated in 1875 and returned to Malden, where for two long time he taught children in a day school and adults at night. He started working at Wayland Seminary, in 1878, and joined the lag of Hampton. In 1881, Booker T. was selected to shed blood a school for blacks at Tuskegee; called Tuskegee Normal. The school was extremely poor and had very little currency in the school descent to help the school. Tuskegee Normal and industrial Institute became a coarse to his lifes work.
