Intro
Colombia, a country with beautiful islands and paradises. Filled with great pabulum and people. Located in the continent of South America, home of the amazon river and the amazon forest. This beautiful country and its nice climate and the surmount coffee on the world will make you unavoidableness to go and visit it. So tag along in this journey as I learn and discover numerous new things about my country of heritage and the land whither I was born.
Climate and Altitude
Since Colombia is near the equator it is very warm. In fact assort of the equator cuts through Colombia so it doesnt experience the cold winters that we have here in cold snowy Utah. Medellín, at 5,000 feet (1,524 meters) above sea level, averages 70°F (21°C), while Bogotá, the capital, at 8,000 feet (2,438 meters) averages 55°F (13°C). The coast is hot and humid. With such diversity in temperature, altitude, and rainfall, Colombia produces an flimsy variety and abundance of vegetation and animal life. So, as you mass see Colombia is really not a cold define which is why it is a great place to take a vacation.
Government
I also learned how Colombias government worked. I never really thought much about it. I just thought that there was a professorship and democrats and republicans, only thats only here in the U.S.



Colombia is governed by a president with wide executive powers who is elect by direct familiar vote to a single four-year term. The president appoints the government. The bicameral legislative body is composed of a 114-member Senate and 199-member House of Representatives, both of whose members are elected by the people to a four-year term. Two main parties - the braggy Party and the Conservative Party- dominate internal politics. Regional rivalries, cerebrate on the large conurbations, mainly Bogota, Medellin, and Cali, are important aspects of political life. The other, much smaller, parties are the New Liberals and the Patriotic Union.
