Candide, ou lOptimisme is a French satire first published in 1759 by Voltaire, a philosopher of the Age of Enlightenment. The novella has been widely translated, with the main English variance titled Candide. The novela begins with a young man, Candide, who is living a internal life in an Edenic paradise and being indoctrinated with theories of optimism by his mentor, Pangloss. The plot of land of work goes deep into the hasty termination of his life he is living. The novella takes us through Cadidess leisurely, painful disillusionment as he experiences and views the hardships the world has to offer. Voltaire concludes Candide with the outright rejection of optimism.
The writer of the novella, François-Marie Arouet, go bad known as Volatire, was a French Enlightenment writer, historiographer and philosopher famous for his wit and for his advocacy of civil liberties, including throw overboarddom of religion, free trade and separation of church and state.

All of these philosophers emerged from the Age of Enlightenment, a major part of the evolution of society and the advance in knowledge .
